Charlie Minor (1948-1995) was from Marietta, Georgia, who later in life went on to become a top A&M record executive, an executive at Hits magazine, and former president of Giant Records. Known as a promoter who would go to any extreme to get a record played on the air, 1993 would prove to be a year of successful acts for Virgin such as Janet Jackson, The Smashing Pumpkins, Lenny Kravits, Tina Turner and more.
